Meet the Team
-
Bishop Wayne & Elaine Hutchins
Bishop Wayne Hutchins had a vision for a church in Trenton, Texas. God opened the door for him to see that vision come to pass when the doors to Peace Tabernacle opened for the first service on Easter 1996. Since then, he and his wife have served PT faithfully. PT is where it is today because of Bishop & Sis Hutchins’ dedication and leadership. In early 2021, he resigned as Pastor and took on the role as Bishop.
-
Pastor Kendall & Sonia Hutchins
Pastor Kendall grew up under the leadership of his father, Wayne Hutchins. He never imagined himself pastoring a church one day, but God had other plans. In early 2021 he was officially voted in as Pastor of PT. He and Sis Sonia share a passion and love for PT that overflows to all those who are around them. They both love people and are always looking for ways to serve and minister in any way they can.
-
Assistant Pastor Trey & Marissa Farmigoni
Pastor Trey became PT’s Assistant Pastor in early 2021. He and his wife, Marissa, serve Peace Tabernacle with such dedication and work long hours behind the scenes. They are both hardworking and dedicated individuals that love God and love his mission: reaching people. They serve in so many areas of ministry in PT and do all of it well. Some of the areas they serve in along with being Assistant Pastor and wife are: music ministry, sunday school, event coordinating, and tech/media.
What We Believe
-
The Bible is God's Word. It is infallible and it is the authority for salvation and Christian living. It is both historically accurate and spiritually powerful. // II Timothy 3:15-17
-
There is one God, who reveals Himself to us as our Father, His Son, and the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is God manifested in flesh. He is both God and man. He is the Father in creation, the Son in salvation, and the Spirit in indwelling. // Deuteronomy 6:4, Ephesians 4:4-6, Colossians 2:9, I Timothy 3:16
-
Everyone has sinned and needs salvation. Salvation comes by grace, through faith based on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ. // Romans 3:23-25; 6:23, Ephesians 2:8-9 //Deuteronomy 6:4, Ephesians 4:4-6, Colossians 2:9, I Timothy 3:16
-
The saving gospel is the good news that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. We obey the gospel (II Thessalonians 1:8; I Peter 4:17) by repentance (death to sin), water baptism in the name of JESUS CHRIST (burial), and the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance (resurrection). // I Corinthians 15:1-4, Acts 2:4, 37-39, Romans 6:3-4
-
As Christians we are to love God and others. We should live a holy life inwardly and outwardly, and worship God joyfully. The supernatural gifts of the Spirit, including healing, are for the church today. // Mark 12:28-31, II Corinthians 7:1, Hebrews 12:14, I Corinthians 12:8-10
-
Jesus Christ is coming again to catch away His church. In the end will be the final resurrection and the final judgment. The righteous will inherit eternal life, and the unrighteous, eternal damnation. // I Thessalonians 4:16:17, Revelation 20:11-15
